Our Story
It Started with a Simple Belief
The Livonia Grind was born out of a conviction that Livonia deserved better than average — and the scientific curiosity to actually do something about it. Our owner is a lifelong Livonia resident and family man who spent years working in laboratory chemistry before channeling that same precision and passion into coffee. Where most people see a cup, he sees extraction rates, water chemistry, and the elegant science behind every variable that separates a good brew from a truly exceptional one.
That background shows in everything we do. We source exclusively from local Michigan roasters who share our obsession with quality. Every syrup is crafted in-house with clean ingredients — no artificial shortcuts. Our pastries come from a talented French baker right here in the community, baked fresh every single day. Nothing on our menu is here by accident. Every item, every recipe, every process has been thought through with the same rigor you'd bring to a lab — because great coffee isn't luck. It's craft. And for us, it's personal.
